Product detail
Spinel bricks for cement kilns
Product Introduction
Refractory materials are important materials that are indispensable to ensure the stable operation of cement kilns. As the “heart” of cement kilns, the configuration and quality of cement kiln refractory materials determine the service life and production efficiency of cement kilns. With the comprehensive development of the cement industry, higher requirements are put forward for cement kiln refractory materials, which also promotes the development and technological progress of cement kiln refractory materials. This issue of the knowledge class introduces cement kiln refractory materials-magnesium-aluminum spinel bricks for cement kilns.
Magnesium-aluminum spinel bricks are a kind of high-temperature refractory material made of magnesium, aluminum, oxygen and other elements as raw materials and sintered at high temperature. Its main components are MgO, Al2O3, MgAl2O4, etc. According to different uses and performance requirements, magnesium-aluminum spinel bricks can be divided into different types and varieties. Commonly used ones are: spinel bricks, high-aluminum magnesium bricks, directly bonded spinel bricks, nitrogen-added directly bonded spinel bricks, high-strength spinel bricks, microcrystalline spinel bricks, etc. In the cement manufacturing process, magnesia-alumina spinel bricks are often used in different equipment such as rotary kilns, preheaters, coolers, etc. to ensure their reliability and stability for long-term operation under high temperature conditions.
Applications
As lining materials: In cement kilns, spinel bricks are widely used as linings. This is because the inside of a cement kiln is a high-temperature and chemically aggressive environment. Spinel bricks can withstand high temperatures. In the calcination area of a rotary kiln, the temperature can often reach around 1400-1500°C. Spinel bricks can maintain structural stability at this high temperature and will not easily soften or deform, thereby effectively protecting the kiln structure.
Resistance to chemical erosion: Various chemical substances, such as alkaline substances (such as calcium oxide, etc.), are produced during the cement production process. Spinel bricks have a good resistance to the erosion of these alkaline substances, preventing the kiln lining from being corroded, thereby extending the service life of the cement kiln lining, which can generally be used for several years, reducing production interruptions caused by frequent lining replacement.
