Zirconia bricks are made of partially stabilized zirconium dioxide and zirconium corundum clinker as raw materials, which are mixed, shaped, dried, and fired at high temperature in a shuttle kiln.

Technical requirements for Zircon silicate Bricks for glass melting furnaces

Zircon brick is one of the commonly used refractory bricks for glass kiln masonry, and its main raw material is zircon (7rO2.SiO2). Zircon is a tetragonal mineral with a hardness of 7.8.

With a melting point of 2550°C, the chemical properties of zircon are quite stable and are not affected by the erosion of molten glass and slag.

Application of Zircon silicate Bricks in glass pool kiln

Zirconia bricks are mainly used in large slag slag of glass melting furnaces, fire holes, detection holes, parapets, arches, and sealing layers at the bottom of the melting part.

Zirconia bricks have good corrosion resistance to alkali-free glass liquid, and can be used as refractory materials in contact with alkali-free glass liquid at lower temperature. Aggregate Zircon silicate Bricks with better thermal shock resistance can be used for superstructures with little temperature change.

Zirconia bricks properties for glass kiln:

1. High refractoriness and high softening temperature.

2. Strong resistance to slag erosion and strong acid resistance.

3. High compressive strength.

4. Good thermal shock resistance.
